Gig
Harbor galleries and performing artists invite you to explore and
enjoy our community.
Local galleries showcase their
newest works during Gig Harbor Artwalk,
held the first Saturday of each month, from 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Several exceptional community-based
theater groups offer programs year-round, including summer performances
held under the starry skies. Encore!
Theater offers community theater at Burton Park Theater in
the winter and wonderful musical performances at Cottesmore Outdoor
Theater in the summer. Paradise
Theatre presents indoor Cabaret Dinner Theater in the winter
and more wonderful outdoor musicals in The Meadow during the summer.
The Gig
Harbor Farmer's Market runs April through October and
features a large variety of local items for sale, including fresh
flowers, produce, food, wood crafts, jewelry, and other handcrafted
arts from nearly 100 vendors. If you love a steaming bowl of
delicious clam chowder, don't miss their annual Chowder Cook-off

Festivals and special cultural
events are scattered through out the year with such highlights
as the June Maritime
Gig Festival, the July Summer
Arts Festival, the August Renaissance
Fair, the September Open
Studio Tour, the October Quilt
Festival and Scandinavian
Fest and the Gig Harbor Holiday Lights
