Step into one of Gig Harbor's specialty shops and experience the
satisfaction of personal service from friendly owners and well trained
staff. Take advantage of a diverse range of products offered at area
businesses from the general to the specific and a little something
in between! Shopping in the greater Gig Harbor area is divided into
six distinct business districts with other stores scattered throughout.
The Waterfront shops
are divided among the Historic Downtown and the Finholm Marketplace.
Downtown, you'll find many shops tucked
away in park-like greens or within minutes of Harborview Drive. Antiques,
art and apparel for all ages are in abundance on the waterfront as
are books, jewelry, home décor, wine and more. Stroll along
the boardwalk for additional unique finds, or coffee and pastries
too. Hugging the harbor go past the residential areas and turn north
toward Finholm Marketplace. Enjoy more unique shops here (including
a denim boutique), an art gallery and several restaurants. For more
info about waterfront shops check out www.gigharbordowntownwaterfront.com.
From Harborview, travel up Pioneer Way to the Kimball
Business District.
Here you'll find an array of shops and services from one-hour photos
to jewelry and party supplies as well as fast food and car care.
This is also home to our weekly newspaper.
The third district is found at the top of Soundview Drive, an an
area called Olympic Village. Located off of Highway 16 are an abundance
of retail shops and services - including bird and nature supplies,
a drug store, quick copies and more.
Cross the highway and you enter the Point Fosdick area or what we
call The Westside. Divided north and south by Oympic Drive, this
area offers fine jewelry and apparel for men and women, computers,
hardware, as well as medical and professional services. Also on the
Westside you will find a quilt shop, the home of our Farmers Market,
two large nurseries and a unique European store nestled in the forest
and so much more.
North of Gig Harbor is the home of the newest shopping are Gig
Harbor North. Large department stores, grocery stores, home improvement
stores and a pet supply store make up this area as well as restaurants,
video and other smaller shops.
Continuing north and then west over Hwy 302 are the inviting towns
that make up the Key Peninsula. Interested in some really fascinating
antiques? Or another great nursery? Lots of cute and unique shops
along this beautiful Highway.
With so much to see and do, we invite you to stop, shop and enjoy
a few days in Gig Harbor.
